Let’s Tell a Dope Story: Hosea Helps Christmas Festival of Services

I woke up Christmas Day to watching my little cousins open their iPads and hover boards. Then, I went to Hosea Helps Christmas Festival of Services. The Resource Guild, a loyal client asked if I’d donate my services for this cause and I didn’t hesitate. I was happy to recruit my cousins and aunt as well to help feed the homeless. It was humbling to go from waking up seeing my family open expensive gifts to seeing hundreds of people just trying to get a hot meal. The event was great. There was good, holiday food, toys, gifts for parents, a section full of clothes to pick out, free haircuts and hair styles and people could see doctors for free! Hosea Helps has been serving people in Atlanta since 1971. It all started with activist Hosea Williams.

Sade Kay Creates, LLC was happy to be part of such a giving event.

Check out the video below to see all the good that was done on Christmas. See if you can spot my little cousins.

It doesn’t have to be Christmas for you to volunteer! Head to their website, 4hosea.org, for information.
